Little Apartment and Little Me

I need to lose weight if I am going to fit into my tiny NYC apartment. And stuff.

No more multiple bottles of shampoos. One. No 20 pens...1 or 2 shall do...

Brushes, shoes, coats...limited to a box. Because, I will be living in one ;) with my husband.

Excited, nervous...so many emotions as I return to the single-most important city of my life.

One belongs to New York instantly, one belongs to it as much in five minutes as in five years

Last Chance

There is a hidden gem I will miss in Phoenix, Arizona. Of all places. It is called Last Chance.

Some of you may have heard of it, I had not prior to moving here. It is wear broken Marc Jacobs handbags (returns, thanks to Nordstroms OVERLY generous return policy) go to die. Missing hardware, they sit, with fellow Valentinos, Chanels, and other bags hoping for a home.

They also carry shoes, like new (with store stickers) to worn, and broken.

But, my wardrobe, which once consisted of  J.Crew only, now consists of Lanvin handbags and flats, Fendi "Be"Baguettes with tags and dust bags, St. John Couture knit cardigans, Max Mara dresses, Marc Jacobs black mini sheaths, and Choos....Blahniks...and Bennetts (ala Kate Middleton).

I am sadly spending too much, even when I resell items I decide not to keep. I guess I just know that even the best deals in NYC , even at a thrift store, would not come any where close to this! In fact, a group of girls I met today from the UWS came to Phoenix for a few days JUST to "stock up" for the year. Not kidding.

Read about Last Chance and the "groupies" here

I promise to post pics soon!

Long awaited update and new celebration!

Years ago, I started this blog, and then another when I moved to Cambridge, UK. A lot has happened...

Married a wonderfully bright husband (who happens to be an adorable, cute doc). We have been so busy with new jobs, and whatnot, I have given up on blogging. But. Today. I take it back.

Why?

Because my husband is SO SMART, he matched at a surgical residency in NYC, and I could NOT be more excited, nor proud.

We have been living in Phoenix, AZ for now, and aside from a cool discount store (Nordstrom's Last Chance), a dappling at ASU working in graduate admissions, and a big pool, we haven't loved it. In 9 weeks, I will be living back in NYC.

We decided to celebrate the other evening at Capital Grille. I have a bottle of Veuve, oysters, and the most amazing food...

I cannot wait for the new adventure, where I will be living near 57th and 5th ;)

Upper East Side. Here I FINALLY COME!
